The latest educational results reporting and trend analysis tool from RM Data Solutions, scoris results, is paving its way through the education sector. Leading awarding body Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR) have implemented this technology to allow teachers delivering its qualifications to identify trends and cater their teaching style to specific classroom needs.
scoris results is a new customisable online analysis service that supplements the other RM Assessment suite of services (on-screen marking solutions, test authoring and test delivery services).
With the flexibility to disseminate data from multiple sources, scoris results is a powerful tool in student, centre and curriculum trend analysis. Data outputs are presented in easy to read graphs and tables, allowing users to instantly identify problem areas, grade boundaries, learning trends, and achievement comparisons. Value added progress measures are provided to give a more accurate measure of a school's achievements.

Our scoris results solution for awarding bodies has been developed in partnership with OCR and this is now being made available for other awarding bodies. We have designed the solution so that it can be quickly customised to meet other qualification framework and curriculum. To undertake the implementation to your awarding body needs we provide some support services to ease implementation.
Implementation Consulting:
Our consultants will work with your education and training professionals to assess applicability of our framework and reports for your candidates and education systems needs. The solution can then be quickly customised to ensure that reports, security and question level analysis is appropriate to your requirements.
System and Helpdesk Support:
Once deployed, you may wish to get second line support for the application to ensure any queries on user access are promptly addressed.
Training:
Once deployed, you may wish to ease the implementation process with initial training for your staff. Training can be provided throughout the length of the contract, and will enable your staff to become efficient and effective at using scoris results.

scoris results is paving its way through the education sector. Leading awarding body Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR) have implemented this technology to allow teachers delivering its qualifications to identify trends and cater their teaching style to specific classroom needs.
During the initial project phase OCR conducted a survey to measure the success. The survey revealed the following:
- 98% said the information was easy to understand
- 69% said the Active Results site was user friendly
- 86% said the Active Results site was easy or very easy to navigate
- 91% said they were confident using the Active Results site without training

Technology

The data structure is flexible and adaptable and can integrate with RM Assessment's scoris e-marking item level data. We can also customise and append extra data to provide more in-depth knowledge.
The system has been developed in partnership with OCR and can be hosted and provided as a service.
Technology stack:
The Active Results website was built using the latest Microsoft .NET platform version 3.5. It is written in the C# language using the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 development environment. The website makes use of AJAX technologies. The reports are implemented using Microsoft SQL Server reporting services and Dundas Charts. Data is stored on a Microsoft SQL Server.

What is e-marking?
E-marking is the application of technology to transform the marking process. Candidate responses, whether to paper-based exams, aural tests or exams taken at a computer, are entered into scoris, the e-marking system, and marked by examiners working online.
